The whole of southern Somalia will be facing famine within two months, unless money is found to feed more people.

On Wednesday, the United Nations declared a famine in two parts of the region, where half a million children are thought to be close to death.

Across the Horn of Africa, it's estimated that up to 12 million people have been seriously affected by a drought, the worst in 60 years.

Radmilla Suleymanova asked Stephanie Bunker from the UN's humanitarian office, OCHA, what the decoration of a famine means.
