Discrepancies in access to water and sanitation persist in Namibia

Access to clean water and adequate sanitation is not available to everyone in Namibia, says Catarina de Albuquerque, the UN Special Rapporteur on human rights to water and sanitation.

She has just concluded a week-long visit to the country, where an innovative toilet invented in Namibia may be the key to improved sanitation. She spoke to Gerry Adams from the capital, Windhoek.
