A two day forum on strengthening trade between the United States and Sub-Saharan Africa is starting in Lusaka, the capital of Zambia on Tuesday.

The Forum based on the United States African Growth Opportunity Act (AGOA) passed in 2000, is bringing together African and American government officials and businesspeople.

The main objective of the gathering is to explore ways of how African countries can take advantage of AGOA and increase their exports of finished goods to the United States market.

The Director of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Lusaka, Viola Morgan tells Derrick Mbatha about this year's theme of the forum.
