"Social movement" created to fight HIV/AIDS

A social movement to fight for the rights of people living with HIV and AIDS has successfully broken what's been described as the "conspiracy of silence" over the disease.

Speaking ahead of an international HIV/AIDS meeting being held at the United Nations in New York, Michel Sidibe, the head of UNAIDS, said huge progress has been made in tackling the virus.

Martial Asseme has been talking to Mr Sidibe.
