Prominent opposition leader addresses International Labour Organization

Aung San Suu Kyi

Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, the prominent opposition leader from Myanmar, has appealed to the International Labour Organization, the ILO, to do more in her country.

The former General Secretary of the National League for Democracy became known internationally when she won Myanmar's general election in 1990 but was not allowed to assume office. She has been under house arrest for most of the last 20 years and was released in November of 2010. Gerry Adams reports.
