Lack of water in Darfur could impact on security situation

The growing scarcity of water in Darfur, Sudan could hamper efforts to achieve peace and security, says Ibrahim Gambari.

Mr. Gambari, head of UNAMID, the joint African Union/ UN peacekeeping mission in Darfur, told a conference addressing the issue that the people of Darfur cannot afford to wait any longer for water.

Gerry Adams asked Emmanuel Mollel of UNAMID why Darfur is running out of water.
