Iraqi government told to protect its civilians
Iraq is being urged to take stronger action when it comes to protecting civilians from violence. Ivan Šimonović, the UN Assistant Secretary-General for Human Rights says 4,000 people are still dying each year in the country as it struggles to rebuild. It was eight years ago that a coalition of countries invaded Iraq and and toppled its former leader, Saddam Hussein. Julie Walker spoke with Assistant Secretary-General Šimonović about a recent 10 day trip to Iraq.
