A five year programme to ensure that people across the world have access to proper toilets has been launched at the UN.

Two point six billion people, mainly in the developing world, do not have proper sanitation.

The lack of toilets can often lead to diarrhea which causes the death of around 3000 children a day globally.

Jocelyne Sambira has been talking to Therese Dooley a hygiene and sanitation expert with the UN's children fund, UNICEF about the "Sanitation for All" programme.
