Ensuring justice after conflict in Uganda

Barney Afako

The war in Uganda which killed thousands of people and displaced one million others lasted for 20 years. A truce between the Ugandan government and the Lord's Resistance Army was reached in 2006.

UN Radio's Radmilla Suleymanova talked to Barney Afako at a UN conference on transitional justice. Afako, who took part in peace negotiations, says there is need to ensure that there is justice and peace.
