As people in developed countries become more aware of the dangers of smoking, the tobacco industry is now focusing on developing countries to market its dangerous product.

Africa is one such region where young people are being lured into the habit of smoking which can cause health problems such as lung cancer and stroke.

To raise awareness of the dangers of tobacco, the World Health Organization marks World No Tobacco Day on May 31.

Ahmed Ogwell Ouma with the WHO's Regional Office for Africa  spoke to Derrick Mbatha  from Brazzaville.
