“Job creation” needed to boost investment in poorest countries
The world’s poorest countries need support to create more jobs in order to increase investment and help them out of poverty.
That’s one of many solutions to boosting development being discussed at the Least Developed Countries or LDC conference taking place in Istanbul Turkey.
There are 48 LDCs, countries which suffer from a combination of deep-rooted poverty, poor governance and bad infrastructure.
Daniel Dickinson asked Joseph Deiss, the President of the United Nations General Assembly what he expects to come out of the plan of action that will be released by the conference participants at the end of the week.
