30 Syrian children die in government crackdown
A recently filmed video has emerged from Syria showing images of children being tortured and ill-treated while in detention.
Popular uprisings taking place in the Middle Eastern country have been met with harsh reprisals by security forces according to the United Nations.

The death toll in Syria is increasing according to UN figures following a government crackdown on pro-democracy demonstrators.
The UN Children's Fund (UNICEF) says women and children have not been spared in the confrontations. It says the use of live ammunition against demonstrators has reportedly left 30 children dead, although the figure has not been independently verified.
UNICEF is calling on the Syrian government to investigate the reports.
