10 year plan agreed to help least developed countries
The international community has agreed a 10 year programme of action to help the world’s poorest countries break out of poverty.
Forty-eight states, mostly in Sub-Saharan Africa, were designated by the United Nations as the Least Developed Countries or LDCs which need special assistance to develop.
Daniel Dickinson reports from Istanbul where a conference on the LDCs has just come to an end.
