World Autism Day: one father’s journey
The fourth annual World Autism Awareness Day is April 2. Autistic spectrum disorder affects the brain’s normal development of social and communication skills. According to the U.S. Centres for Disease Control and Prevention, one in every 110 people in America has autism and boys are more likely than girls to be diagnosed with it. Todd Drezner, the father of an autistic son, shares his personal journey of coming to terms with autism in his documentary “Loving Lampposts: Living Autistic”. It was shown at the UN and Julie Walker got to speak with Drezner about it.
