A concert was recently held at the United Nations to commemorate the victims of the Transatlantic slave trade.

Cheryl Wills was one of the guests. She’s a news personality from a local New York television station, New York 1 News, and the author of a book entitled Die Free.

The book chronicles her family’s roots and traces her ancestry back to the country of Cameroon in Africa.

In this item prepared by Beng Poblete-Enriquez, Cheryl Wills salutes and acknowledged the slaves who courageously endured the Transatlantic slave trade.
