Close to 1,000 stranded migrants rescued from Misrata in Libya

Nearly 1,000 migrants have been evacuated from the Libyan town of Misrata where heavy fighting continues between government forces and fighters seeking to overthrow Libyan leader Muammar Qadhafi. The group, which includes 650 migrants from Ghana, left the port city on Monday morning on a ship chartered by the International Organization for Migration (IOM). IOM spokesperson, Jemini Pandya in Geneva discusses the rescue operation with Patrick Maigua.
