The rescue operation is continuing in Japan following the earthquake and tsunami which devastated large parts of the north of the country on Friday.

It’s not yet know how many people have been killed, but it’s feared the death toll could reach ten thousand.

The United Nations has sent a team of experts to help in the relief effort.

Elizabeth Byers is from the UN humanitarian agency OCHA. She’s been talking to Patrick Maigua.
