Actor and UN Messenger of Peace Michael Douglas Michael Douglas wants the world to know that Japan needs help now more than ever and not to forget that.

He was at UN Radio studios in New York Thursday to discuss with Julie Walker how to help the country in the wake of the March 11th earthquake and tsunami. Japanese officials say 9,800 people died and another 17,500 are still missing.

Douglas has been a Messenger of Peace since 1998 focusing on disarmament issues something he also talked about as well as his very personal fight with cancer.
