“Business as usual” in Côte d’Ivoire following ban on UN flights

United Nations aircraft are still flying in Côte d’Ivoire despite being grounded by the incumbent president Laurent Gbagbo. A political stand-off continues in the West African country as Mr Gbagbo refuses to step down and allow the internationally recognized winner, Alassane Ouattara, take over as president. Mr Ouattara is currently at an African Union meeting in Ethiopia. Daniel Dickinson asked Hamadoun Touré a spokesman for the UN mission in Côte d’Ivoire about the current situation.
