Refugees fleeing Côte d'Ivoire

Fears that Côte d’Ivoire could go back to civil war are mounting as fighting breaks out in different parts of the country.Last year’s presidential elections ended in a political stalemate that has paralyzed the country for three months. A new human rights report says the situation is deteriorating fast and that extra-judicial killings have led to the death of at least 300 people. Ibrahim Wani, Head of the Africa Branch of the UN human rights office in Geneva told our colleague Patrick Maigua that the violations are being committed by both parties to the conflict.
