Western Sahara refugee family visits resumed by UN

Visits for Sahrawi refugees from the Western Sahara who have been separated from their families for more than 30 years have resumed.

Family members are being taken by plane from the Western Sahara to a camp in Algeria.

Sahrawi refugees started arriving in Algeria in 1976 after Spain withdrew from the Western Sahara and fighting broke out over its control.

The reunions are being facilitated by the United Nations.
