The World Health Organization (WHO) reiterated its strong “no smoking” message as a film crew from Hollywood arrived at the agency’s headquarters in Geneva to shoot a film about a team of doctors fighting a deadly virus.

Fadela Chaib is a WHO spokesperson.

“Leading to this team coming to WHO to film, we had very extensive exchanges with producers and Hollywood who are in charge of this film. And it was very clear that WHO has strict rules not to promote smoking and they very well understand this. A few years ago we devoted the “World No Tobacco Day” to smoking and the film industry and we have also recommendations on this.”

The film, featuring prominent actors, will be in cinemas by the end of this year.
