New financial index will help fight AIDS, TB and malaria

The Global Fund

One of the world’s leading financial information firms is now helping to save millions of people living with some of the world’s deadliest illnesses.

Dow Jones Indexes, which develops benchmarks used in investing, has launched a new index that will generate resources to benefit The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.

For nearly a decade The Global Fund has been providing treatment, counselling and support to people living with these three diseases in 150 countries.

 UN Radio’s Dianne Penn spoke to Jamie Farmer, executive director at Dow Jones Indexes, about this new collaboration.
