Brazil assumes UN Security Council presidency for February
Timor Leste, Guinea Bissau and Sudan are among the issues that Brazil will be highlighting as it takes over the presidency of the United Nations Security Council for the month of February. Brazil is one of ten non-permanent members of the Council, all of which holod the presidency for a one month period. The Brazilian Ambassador to the UN, Maria Luiza Ribeiro Viotti, has been speaking to UN Radio’s Ben Malor:
