African economies back to pre-crisis growth levels

The economies of countries in sub-Saharan Africa have bounced back to growth levels experienced before the global financial crisis of 2008-9. In its latest update on the state of the World’s Economy, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) says that most countries in the region have proved to be surprisingly resilient and are now growing at rates of up to 7 per cent. Abebe Selassie of the IMF’s African department, has been speaking to Hyun-Sung Khang.
