Despite great achievements in Nepal’s peace process, controversies between the Nepalese and Maoist armies and other problems may be indicative of the difficulties that lie ahead, according to Mr. Ian  Martin, who is winding down his stint as UN Special Envoy for Nepal. He voices some worries.

A number of people, including a 16 year old boy, have died in China recently from what has been suspected as bird flu. In the following interview, UN Radio’s Liling Huang asks WHO Spokesman Gregory Hartl if the deaths signal a large-scale outbreak of the disease in human beings.
