HIV-positive women in Cambodia are fashioning their own future—with a little help from the UN Development Programme (UNDP). The women are employees of the Modern Dress Sewing Factory which was set up by the national network of people living with HIV and AIDS as a means to earn a living in a society where having the virus frequently results in discrimination. Together with Bibi Russell, a designer and former model from Bangladesh, they are creating a new line of silk bags and other accessories to be sold under the label 'Bibi for WE' which stands for Women Empowered. I spoke to UNDP's HIV and AIDS Regional Coordinator, Caitlin Wiesen, to learn more about this collaboration.

British actor Jude Law returns to Afghanistan to promote the International Day of Peace

Actor Jude Law has returned to Afghanistan, one year after he visited the country in connection with the International Day of Peace which is observed on September 21st. During a press conference in Afghanistan's capital, Kabul, the British celebrity told journalists how that first trip made an impact on his life.
