Special Event Marking Interfaith Harmony Week

A special event was held in the General Assembly Hall to mark World Interfaith Harmony Week (1-7 February). Entitled “United for a Culture of Peace Through Interfaith Harmony”, the event was hosted by the President of the General Assembly; the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO); and the Committee of Religious NGOs to the United Nations. It included statements by Assembly President Vuk Jeremić and Deputy Secretary-General Jan Eliasson, a World Peace Flag Ceremony and song performances by various groups.
