UNMID Observes International Women's Day

The African Union-United Nations Mission in Darfur (UNAMID) held a march in El Fasher, North Darfur, in observance of International Women's Day. With the slogan, "Together to Promote the Dignity of Women and Girls", the event was organized in coordination with UN agencies and the Government of Sudan.

UNAMID Hospital Serves Community in Kabkabiya, North Darfur

The level II hospital has a dental clinic, surgery theatre, paediatric unit, trauma and neurologic services, among other services. The medical team assists around 20 people from the local community every day.

The “sixteen days” of the campaign take place between the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women (25 November) and International Human Rights Day (10 December) to symbolically link the spirit of both events.
