Secretary-General Discusses Syria Situation with President of France
Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon met with François Hollande, President of France, on the margins of the G-20 Summit in St. Petersburg. They were accompanied by Lakhdar Brahimi, Joint Special Representative of the UN and the League of Arab States for Syria; and Laurent Fabius, Minister for Foreign Affairs of France. They discussed the situation in Syria. The Secretary-General briefed the President on the UN chemical weapons investigation. The Joint Special Representative briefed on efforts to convene the international conference on Syria in Geneva.
