UNAMID Peacekeepers Recuperate in Nyala Hospital Following Deadly Ambush
Seven Tanzanian peacekeepers were killed and 17 others injured on13 July in Khor Abeche, South Darfur, in an ambush by unidentified armed assailants against a convoy of the African Union–United Nations Hybrid Operation in Darfur (UNAMID). Among the injured are four UNAMID police officers, including two female officers, and 13 troops.
