General Assembly Passes Resolution Condemning Syria
Gary Francis Quinlan (left), Permanent Representative of Australia to the UN and Vice-President of the General Assembly, chairs the Assembly’s meeting to consider a draft resolution on the situation in Syria. The resolution, which strongly condemns the abuses committed by the Syrian Government against its people and demands an end to all violence in the country, was adopted by the Assembly with an overwhelming majority.
