Deputy Secretary-General Visits UNIFIL
At the United Nations Interim Mission in Lebanon (UNIFIL) headquarters in southern Lebanon, Deputy Secretary-General Asha Rose Migiro (right) speaks at a town hall meeting attended by civilian UN staff members. Behind her is Deputy Force Commander General Bonfanti. During her visit, Mrs. Migiro praised UNIFIL's contribution to peace and security in the area, saying, "UNIFIL's presence aims to help create a window of opportunity for establishing a permanent ceasefire and finding a long-term solution to the conflict."
