MINUSTAH Conducts Security Operation in Port-au-Prince

Today MINUSTAH and the Haitian National Police (HNP) have launched a joint security operation to crack down on criminal activity in key areas of the capital, Port-au-Prince. They are supported by the United Nations Police (UNPOL) and the United Nations Formed Police Unit (FPU). ‘Operation Phoenix’, as the security operation is called, is designed to help the Haitian authorities provide security and stability for the residents of Port-au-Prince.
