UN Mission Oversees Resettlement of Darfur Returnees
Children are shown at a local school in Sullu, West Darfur, where they are taught by three volunteer teachers. In December 2010, 120 villagers returned to Sullu from Kalma Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) Camp, South Darfur, and are now resettling with help from the local community, including from the local school. A UN interagency mission has visited the village to monitor their resettlement and the World Food Programme (WFP) will provide rations to the returnees over the next six months.
