Acting UNAMID Head Welcomes Abducted Staff
One of two civilian staff members with the African Union-United Nations Hybrid Operation in Darfur (UNAMID) kidnapped on 29 August 2009 in Zalingei, West Darfur, arrives at El Fasher Airport, welcomed by Henry Anyidoho (right, arm extended), Acting Joint Special Representative for UNAMID. The Zimbabwean woman who had been abducted at gunpoint along with her Nigerian colleague and spent over 100 days in captivity, was released on 13 December in good health.
