Security Council Holds Debate on Anti-Terrorism Committees
The Security Council meets to hear briefings by the Chairs of its three "anti-terrorism" committees: the Counter-Terrorism Committee, also known as the Committee established pursuant to resolution 1373 (2001); the Committee established pursuant to resolution 1267 (1999) concerning Al-Qaida and the Taliban and associated individuals and entities; and the Committee established pursuant to resolution 1540 (2004) concerning the non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.
