UN Secretary-General Addresses United Nations Day Concert Audience
The special concert held today at UN Headquarters in celebration of United Nations Day was part of an international broadcast heard simultaneously on four continents. The concert combined performances by world-famous soloists and orchestras playing in New York, Paris and Geneva. Participating in the concert from UN Headquarters was the famous cellist Pablo Casals, as well as the Boston symphony Orchestra, conducted by Charles Munch.
