United Nations and Government of Uganda Sign Agreement for Project to Improve Ugandan Public Service
Representatives for the Government of Uganda and the United Nations Department of Technical Co-operation for Development (DTCD) signing an agreement today for a $5.2 million project to improve the performance of the public service in Uganda. The project will be funded by a loan from the International Development Association (IDA), and is the largest such agreement between the United Nations and a Government. Wanume Kibedi (left), Permanent Representative of Uganda to the United Nations, signed the agreement on behalf of his Government, and Faqir Muhammad (right), Director of the Development Administration Division, DTCD, signed on behalf of the United Nations.
