Signing of Lusaka Protocol by Government of Angola and UNITA
The Government of Angola and the National Union for the Total Independence of Angola (UNITA) signed the Lusaka Protocol, paving the way for a cease-fire and the possible deployment of United Nations military and police observers to monitor the political situation in Angola.
