Miss Lena Horne Narrates Featurette for U.N. Radio
Miss Lena Horne, noted screen star and singer, today visited United Nations Headquarters where she narrated a featurette for a recorded broadcast over United Nations Radio which will be used on network and overseas programs. The featurette, entitled "The Dark Pool", tells the story of a Philippine mother (Epifania) and her children whose lives were beset by what seemed to them unsurmountable problems and who were helped to a new life through a Health Centre established in their area by the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).
