Political Campaign for Parliamentary Elections in Timor-Leste Heats up
Members of the United Nations Police (UNPOL) and the Formed Police Units (FPU) provide security around Dili stadium whilst supporters of the National Congress for the Reconstruction of East Timor (CNRT) -- shout slogans during the 26 June campaign rally in Dili. East Timor's voters are preparing to choose representatives for the country's 65-seat parliament on 30 June, with competition between the Fretilin ruling party, and the new party of the former guerrilla fighter Xanana Gusmão, expected to be tight.
