The rotation of Brazilian troops serving with the United Nations Emergency Force (UNEF) started at Gaza this week when the outgoing Battalion sailed from Port Said for Rio de Janeiro on the Brazilian Naval Troopship "Brarroso Periera". Arriving on the same ship to join UNEF was a new Battalion comprised of 16 officers and 242 other ranks.
