Brazilian Contingent of UNEF to Return Home from Gaza Strip
Lieutenant General E.L.M. Burns, Commander of the United Nations Emergency Force (UNEF), this morning bade farewell to some 350 Brazilian soldiers who are sailing from Port Said on Saturday, 30 May, for Rio de Janeiro. The men are being rotated after one year of service with UNEF.
Here, during the farewell parade, Gen. Burns is seen presenting a special cup to Cpl. Alves, who won the decathlon in the 3rd UNEF Olympiad and took second place in the 4th Olympiad.
