UNEF Troops from Brazil Guard Maintenance Area
A Company of the Brazilian Battalion with UNEF in the Gaza Strip guards the UNEF Maintenance Area at Rafah. Here, Private Alfredo Pereira Junior (right), a Brazilian soldier serving with this UNEF Company, is seen with two companions serving on night patrol duty. At night, the fence around the Maintenance Area is constantly patrolled. Each soldier must perform night duty 3 times a week.
