Canada Contributes $8 million for Korea and Palestine Relief Programs
Mr. John W. Holmes (left), Acting Permanent Representative of Canada to U.N., on behalf of his Government presents to Mr. Trygve Lie Secretary General of the United Nations, a check of $8,000,000 (Canadian) as Canada's contribution to United Nations relief and rehabilitation programs in Korea and in Palestine. Of the total amount, $7,250,000 is earmarked for Korea, $750,000 for Palestine.
