Secretary-General Announces He Would Accept Second Term If Offered

At a Headquarters press conference, Secretary-General Kofi Annan announces his decision that he would be honoured to accept a second term as Secretary-General if the Member States offer it to him. Secretary-General Annan's present term will end on 31 December 2001.
