Leontyne Price, the famous opera singer, today presented special phonograph albums of the opera Aida to acting U.N. Secretary-General U Thant and Dr. Ralph J. Bunche, UN Under-Secretary for Special Political Affairs.

Miss Price is seen chatting with Dr. Bunche shortly after she presented him with the special album. The presentations mark the opening of a special "Aida" campaign to help save the Nubian monuments from inundation by the waters of the Aswan Dam lake. Miss Price, who has accepted the Honorary Vice-Chairmanship of the United States National Committee for the Preservation of the Nubian Monuments, has contributed 1,000 special autographed editions of her "Aida" record album to the campaign, which is under the sponsorship of UNESCO. The albums are to be auctioned off in the United States and abroad.
