Security Council Unanimously Calls on Syria to Detain Suspects in Hariri Murder
Philippe Douste-Blazy, Foreign Minister of France, addresses the Security Council meeting, today at UN headquarters. The Council's unanimous adoption of resolution 1636 (2005) calls on Syria to detain Syrian suspects identified by the UN International Independent Investigation Commission into the assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Harir or face "further action" if it does not comply.
