Description
This video documents their invention in German, their use on European battlefields and their spread to many countries. Unique footage shows a chemical weapons research centre in the former Soviet Union, the chemical weapons programme in Japan and, under UNited Nations supervision, the destruction of Chemicals in Iraq. Thanks to a worldwide ban on chemical weapons signed in 1993, the stockpiling and use, as well as the production of these deadly weapons have been forbidden.
